The National Conference of Public Assistance Coordinators (NCPACs) is a significant annual event organized by DepEd through the Public Affairs Service – Public Assistance Action Center (PAS-PAAC) to bring together PACs from various regions to discuss, strategize, and enhance their roles and responsibilities in delivering public services.
Undersecretary and Chief of Staff Atty. Michael Wesley T. Poa, who delivered the keynote address through a video message, extended his warmest congratulations and appreciation to the DepEd PACs. He commended DepEd for having been recognized by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) for its outstanding achievements, securing the top-eight position among government agencies with the highest complaints resolution rate for Fiscal Year 2022.
This accolade underscores the dedication and commitment of DepEd PACs to providing efficient and effective public service to DepEd stakeholders. The recognition from the CSC reflects the PACs' relentless efforts to address concerns and issues.
Some of the major agenda highlights included the presentation of the regional offices’ best practices, frontline service updates, proper handling of cases/complaints, child protection in education, strengthening Freedom of Information (FOI) in education, and implementation of Republic Act 11032, known as the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018.
The event provided an invaluable platform for dialogue and knowledge exchange on pressing issues.
The DepEd Region X PACs delegation joined this momentous conference, marking a significant step toward the Region's commitment to providing the highest quality of public services in education.
