CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, August 11, 2026 – Department of Education (DepEd) Regional Office X and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have joined forces to bring modern reading hubs to five public schools across Northern Mindanao.
The partnership was formalized through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) by Regional Director Dr. Ruth L. Fuentes, CESO III, representing DepEd Region X, and Country Director Anthony John M. Balledos for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
At the heart of the partnership is a shared commitment to helping learners overcome reading difficulties by equipping schools with dedicated learning spaces, quality instructional resources, and facilities that support effective reading intervention programs.
